HR and Payroll Officer

HR and Payroll Officer

Location: Greater Cardiff

Type: Permanent

Salary: £31,382 + Outstanding Benefits + Free Parking

  • Advise and guide employees and managers on a range of HR issues such as sickness absence, underperformance, discipline, grievance and be hands on supporting line managers with routine casework  with a focus on sickness health issues
  • Ensure all staff changes are correct  – starters, leavers special leave have been correctly
  • Extract data for monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Review and monitor processes to ensure an efficient and timely service, suggesting any improvements
  • Assist with salary sacrifice and pension calculations
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing and staff communications
  • Using the document management and HR systems, ensure staff information is correct, up to date and compliant with GDPR and retention policies
  • Represent the organisation at staff meetings at other sites
  • Take notes at investigations, grievances and disciplinaries
  • Assist HRBPs with recruitment and exit interviews

The successful candidate will have:

  • CIPD Level 3/working towards
  • GCSEs with Grade C in English and Maths
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy for proof reading
  • Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Enjoy working independently as well as in a team
